Under the desk eliptical: So far so good. Nice features. Gets me moving!

by Ellen DuBois on 02/03/21

I want to share a review I did on Amazon about an under the desk eliptical because I think many of us feel like we've been sitting a little too much during this pandemic. I know I do. I teach from home now and with the winter cold, I'm not walking around like I did in the warmer months. So, I took a chance and bought a small, under the desk eliptical to get my legs moving after reading several articles about them and the overall opinion that they're worth it. So, here's what I wrote along with a very short video. Perhaps it will shed some light on what these small elipticals are about and how versatile they are.

"I've only had this for a few days, but so far so good. This machine has some nice features. You can power it up or use the pedals without any assistance. It keeps time, turns off after a half-hour, has five different speeds, is quiet (I did notice a slight clicking sound as I pedalled and will update this review if it worsens or is resolved), you can change direction of the foot pedals, it keeps track of calories burned, time spent using it and more. It's fairly light weight and has a place for the remote control that also serves as a handle when moving. So far I;ve used this for three half-hour increments and although it didn't feel like much while using, my legs could feel it when I got up. With covid and feeling like I sit too much due to work, winter weather, etc., I purchased this to get more movement happening, especially in my legs.  It's great to use while watching TV and I'm going to try it under my desk and maybe on breaks between teaching piano virtually. I've noticed no skidding but have only used it on the carpet. I do want to get a mat to protect the rug and also to prevent it from slipping should I use in on flooring."

Disclaimer: I wasn't paid to make this and I purchased the eliptical outright. But, as an affiliate for Amazon, if you do click my link and make a purchase, I'll make a small commission at no cost to you.
