Pictures Through the Window

by Ellen DuBois on 05/14/19

It's been so rainy here in Massachusetts. I chalked it up to (a lot of) April showers last month, but they've extended into May. The world around me is soaked. (My plants are happy!)

All the gray can make me feel gloomy, but seeing brightly colored birds at the feeder always cheers me up. I'm so blessed with a gorgeous variety of colorful birds: Goldfinches, Cardinals, Woodpeckers, Orioles, Bluejays and more.

Taking pictures through the window isn't an ideal way to take them, (especially when the window is dirty), but sometimes I like to take a few shots and see how they come out. I think the brightly colored oriole looks amazing. Not as sharp and vibrant as it would have been had I been standing in the rain, but nice and I stayed dry :)

Here's a woodpecker in the rain, taken through the window:

Thanks for stopping by!- Ellen
